The State Task Force partnered with Safe House Project, a national non-profit providing certification, survivor support, and safe housing options for those who have been trafficked. Through this partnership, South Carolina launched a comprehensive, standards-driven approach to evaluating and certifying residential and non-residential programs. South Carolina became the first state to require Safe House certification as part of its statewide service delivery framework. This advancement reflects the State Task Force’s commitment to supporting victim-centered, trauma-informed services for all survivors.

The State Human Trafficking Task Force has partnered with the national non-profit organization, Soul Survivor Ink, to acquire SC tattoo artists who can provide tattoo removals and cover-ups to human trafficking survivors. Soul Survivor Ink offers compensation to their affiliate artists so that survivors are not charged for their services. There is a participating artist in each of the four regions of our state. Advocates can assist survivors by contacting Soul Survivor Ink and applying on their website: Soul Survivor Ink – SSI
